If you made it out to the Worthy Parts Industry Link — Auction and Expo earlier in December, you already know that it was a cracking time.
The expo — put on by my good mates at Worthy Parts — saw 108 different companies represented at 100 stalls. More than 500 pieces of high-tech machinery were exhibited and up for auction. On December 3 – 4, Kalgoorlie saw itself transformed as the mining industry’s biggest names came in to talk shop and greet old friends.
Companies like Mancala, Evolution Mining, KCGM and plenty of others made their way over to Kalgoorlie
The aim of the expo and auction was to provide a physical venue for what Worthy Parts already does incredibly well: facilitate an online network for those in the mining industry to make new contacts, speak with colleagues and purchase equipment.
More than 2,000 visitors helped the economy of Kalgoorlie as well: restaurants, hotels and other businesses were certainly thrilled to see the large influx of visitors.
On the latest episode [link] of the Full Production podcast, I brought on Michael Worthington of Worthy Parts to talk about the event — lessons learned, highlights and planned changes for next year.
I really enjoyed myself and certainly had some stimulating conversations with old and new friends alike. If you didn’t make it this year, I look forward to seeing you at the 2019 expo!
